Leif Petersen registered broker at Metropool Makelaars
Leif Petersen is the founder of Metropool Makelaars. He has been working in the financial and services sector since 2006. In 2013, he made the switch to one of the largest real estate agencies in Amsterdam, where he worked as a registered real estate agent for the purchase and sale of homes, appraiser and office manager.
The reason for setting up Metropool Makelaars is that Leif has experienced in practice that selling homes well is specialist work and almost never receives the right attention. A real estate agent also provides other services in addition to the sale of homes. For example, a sales broker is often also a purchase broker, appraiser, rental broker and new-build broker.
Attention to selling your home
The broker must therefore divide his time over these different facets. The result is: less attention for the sale of your home! Potential buyers see this reflected in the viewing options, for example. They are often unable to schedule a viewing appointment when their dream home is just on the market. To change this, Leif Metropool Makelaars started.
My mission
Generate the highest possible sales revenue for my customer. I’m only satisfied when I’ve got the most out of the market, my client is satisfied and comes back in the future for another assignment in the real estate industry.

My neighbourhood
Diemen Sniep, a new residential area a stone’s throw from Amsterdam. I have lived here with my family for about five years now. All amenities and facilities are located in the immediate vicinity. I do my shopping at Diemerplein or in Oostpoort. I like to have a snack or drink. You could just bump into me in Café Cliché Amsterdam, De Biertuin or Louie Louie in the Watergraafsmeer.
Best drink
Hanne’s Tree. After a hard day’s work here it is wonderful to enjoy in the sun by the water with a nacho dish with cheese and a vase in the sun!
What to do in Amsterdam
Swing at a height of more than 100 meters above the skyline of Amsterdam. This is possible at the A’dam Lookout. Afterwards you can relax and reminisce in the rooftop bar with panoramic views over Amsterdam.
Get out of town
A day trip to Oud Valkeveen in Naarden with my family. A fun amusement park for children up to about 12 years old. The location is unique in the forest and on the water at the extreme northern tip of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug.
