Hellen van Veen, sales broker at Metropool Makelaars
Metropool Makelaars is proud to introduce a new sales broker in the team: Hellen van Veen. We are very happy that Hellen can now call herself a candidate broker! Having obtained her brokerage, 33-year-old Hellen van Veen can now work independently. Hellen has been working with the team since January 1, 2022 to make every sale a success.
I am super happy that I made it to being a sales broker. The learning curve was intensive, especially because it was disrupted by all kinds of corona measures. Weekly lessons and evenings of studying have ultimately yielded success.
Down to earth, service oriented
And now she can finally go wild on the housing market of the Amsterdam metropolitan region. “With my roots as a farmer’s daughter, I am very down to earth in life. Thanks to my work experience in Amsterdam, from host in the Conservatorium Hotel and duty manager in the Pulitzer Hotel to mediator in art, I also know what five star service can mean for your company. That is what I want to radiate at Metropool Makelaars: down to earth and service-oriented.”
‘We really do sell a house together with the owner.’
Selling your house is a big step. It is for almost everyone the greatest physical asset in life that you put up for sale. You have experienced a lot in a house so you sell a lot of emotion with the house. It is important that we as brokers feel this and can reassure the customer by means of the good service we offer. We really do sell a house together with the owner.
As a team, the sales brokers of Metropool Makelaars are a good combination of traditional and a breath of fresh air. That keeps the collaboration sharp and we strengthen each other. This allows us to think of all aspects of the sale. Because we only sell, we have time to view the house from all directions.
Our customers are always extra happy that we call after each viewing round to see how it went that day. Because we only arrange exclusive viewings, we can take viewers through the house and afterwards we have a good feeling about how the viewers found the house.
Tips for selling your home
How does your house leave the best possible impression? That’s not that complicated. Don’t make it too busy at home, but make it cozy and above all not anonymous. See your home as a work of art of your own life. Show who you are and why you have enjoyed the home for years. So don’t empty that cupboard with cookbooks already. It actually helps a viewer to see himself in his future home. Your history becomes someone else’s future.
I myself live in Amsterdam East in a nice 1920s house in the style of the Amsterdam School. Oost still has the feeling of Amsterdam, but especially the hip, fun, old Amsterdam. Where people know each other, nice shops and small supermarkets. It is a good combination of old and new, close to the center of the city. I have a great predilection for the older buildings in the city, but I also see the positive sides of new construction. Sustainable, gas-free and with the right ingredients you can turn new construction into a warm cozy home.
Metropool Makelaars in Amstelveen
Metropool Makelaars works from a beautiful building at Amsterdamseweg 71 in Amstelveen. Since we have been working from this office, I have really gotten to know Amstelveen better. If you want to keep the warmth of Amsterdam, but are looking for a little more peace and space, Amstelveen is a very nice place to live.
